Statement
In my world it's about aesthetic. If I think back on all I've learned throughout my artistic endeavors only a handful of hallmarks come to mind, line, proportion, contrast, color, and balance. I believe that going through all the conventional steps of art (having been creative since a young age) I was always working my way outside the box in order to explore new ways of expression. Although conventional art taught me everything I know, I found myself always getting rid of the static, the things that seemed not to show the space but just fill it. My soul constantly sought out the main five, I couldn't escape it, I had fallen madly in love with minimalism. I believe you can change the viewers mood, the tone, and environment if you deliver these five systems in a manner of accommodation. I love all art, I believe in anyone who's trying there best to create, it's of their importance. I do not believe in segregation of art based systems. If you have a realist piece hanging next to a minimal piece they both can hold the same validity. I've come to realize being a minimalist is not the easiest way to win over buyers, or critics, but in the end, it's my passion that wins out no matter if it's material gain to be had, or not to be had. If your doing it for vanity or to reach a social level in "my personal opinion " your just not possessed enough. It's a love affair not a display. If you truly love it you'll die broke and happy. I wish all good luck with their passions - Daniel Pearson

UNART : OUR LOST WAYS
A PROJECT BY
DANIEL PEARSON
You are not here merely to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand.
Woodrow Wilson (1856-1924)
I am starting a new project called UNART. My Art is free. And I give today not only to inspire future artists, but also to inspire generosity. The idea is to return to old ways of economy's long forgotten.
The gifting economy is to break out of the monetary system all together. Gifting brings communities together and gets us more in touch with one another again. Giving is one of the most important things we can do as a whole right now as all other systems are collapsing, corrupt, or are not longer working to any avail.
However, I find it equally as important that if there's any money exchange or bidding's involved it should go directly to the gallery owners place of business in which I'm showing.
I see an ever lasting substantial need for art galleries to remain functioning as they are epicenters for the creative, interactive, expansion of the community.
